I VORTEX, thrash metal band stile Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer, nascono e si sviluppano nel 2001. Il repertorio del gruppo vanta circa 20 pezzi (più o meno due ore), tra i quali "The Call Of Ktulu", "Reign In Blood", "Alone In The Dark", "Peace Sells" e così via... Per fine maggio, inizio giugno '03 uscirà il primo demo ufficiale della band, "Tribute To Thrash". Nel frattempo è in preparazione materiale proprio, naturalmente in stile Thrash anni '80.
